Back:) Still adding to my inventory. If anyone out there has any information to share about etsy my ears are wide open. Thanks, Have a great day:) Connie
This apron reminds me so much of my granny. She always wore an apron in the house - no matter what. Cannot help with the Etsy info, but I am rooting for you!
Connie, Your aprons are just darling. Mom always wore an apron, I sometimes do but not very often, although I do like them. But you know what? Aprons are coming back and are selling well at the boutiques that I do, so think you should do well with them on etsy. Cherries is a good print, as long as you have prints that the ladies like, they will sell. Etsy is great cause it only cost 20cents to list an item for three months, you can't beat that. If the item doesn't sell at the end of the three months you can renew it for another 20cents. I really like it there, as I told you it's a bit slow for me but I don't mind. Sometimes it picks up and other times it doesn't. If you have any questions, just leave me a note on my blog. Hugs...Lu
Hello Lu, I'm sorry that it took me so long to write back. I'm always on my regular blog and if I'm not posting here I forget to check back. I'm still thinking about Etsy, but just not sure yet. Thank you for your lovely comment and all the information, I appreciate it :) Connie :)
I love your aprons, Connie! The cherry print is so cute and really has that vintage vibe that I love so much! I enjoy wearing aprons when I work in the kitchen:) Oh, and I love the ric rack, too! Are you planning on selling them on Etsy? I think you would be a hit!! I've had my Etsy shop for about 2 1/2 years, and I just love it! It's like my "therapy". As Romance of Roses mentioned, it is very reasonable to list items. It's been kind of slow for me too, but I guess everything goes in cycles. Last year was much busier for me. But I am thrilled that I'm able to create and sell what I do! I think you would love it too! If you get a digital postal scale (I got mine on Amazon.com), you can sign up for "click & ship" thru the post office, print and pay for your postage on line, and request that your mail carrier pick up your packages. So you don't have to waste all of your time going to the post office! I'll send you an email later with more Etsy thoughts, as I think of them:)
Connie, Love your vintage aprons and your blog. Thanks for visiting mine so I could find you. All three of your blogs are great. I am now a follower of your blogs. Kris
Great fabric with the cherries. I use Etsy and love it. I thought I would use it for handmade items, but time always gets away from me. I usually only have twenty to thirty items in the shop at a time.
The aprons are fab, of course you should open an etsy store and sell your beautiful things! Oh, and thanks for your lovely comment, wishing you all the best for 2013, too :-)
Love your aprons Connie, they look so spring-like and bright! Thanks for following me and leaving your sweet comment :o) Lot of love from Moscow Natasha
Hi Connie. Thanks for visiting me. Love that cherry print. I've been doing a lot of sewing just lately - my husband needs new clerical shirts as all his old boring ones are ten years old and fraying on the collars. We've been looking at lots of lovely wild prints and I'm just putting together shirts 9 and 10 for him. That should do for a few years :) As for Etsy - have you seen the free e-book from Cloth Paper Scissors? (clothpaperscissors.com) It talks about blogs, Etsy, and open studios.
It's been a while since I visited your shabby french market. How lovely it is to see all your beautiful crafting! I love those cherry aprons, they make me think of past times even though I wasn't born in the '50s... :).
I wish you a great day, and thank you for sharing pictures of your work! Maria
Oh Conny what can I say about you beautiful blog! It had the word FRENCH in it so I had to become a follower I love all things French. I love your sewing items I have a blog separate for sewing (trying to learn to make clothes) It has alsorts on there and you are full of inspiring Ideas I may have to think about making my own ;). I am off to your other cottage boy ye har Dxx
Hi Connie, Love the cherry print. I have an Etsy page and recommend it highly. I started out very slowly, mostly buying small items at first. I find that successful Etsy sellers usually give a little "extra." I try to wrap items attractively and often include a little something extra such as a card, packet of tags I made etc. Etsy is really a community of artists and people who want to support them. You'll love it!
I probably own 20 aprons, haha, just looked down and realized I was wearing one now and it is 1am!
I wear them every day all day - but the ones I wear most of the time are chef's white huge big ones, because I am a messy homemaker!
My FAVS to wear for just before my guests arrive for a tea party are my sweet little printed vintage ones - and the ones you made certainly are vintage looking, so CUTE!
I sell on ebay so can't help you on Etsy but there are SO MANY who do!
My daughter does, write me if you don't get the answers you need, she is such a sweet and helpful gal, and I know she would help when time allowed!
Just found you today via Attic clutter. Like your cherry apron. I bought an apron on Etsy last year....it is my "garage sale apron" the pockets are big enough to hold the 'money purses'. I have been on Etsy for 5 years, selling mostly cards. I have enjoyed it and made lots of friends and it is always fun to see what other people are doing. My sales are low, but it is always fun when a card or two sell and I can do the "Etsy tap dance" get so excited when someone buys my cards.
I went to your sight on playing guitar....I have a guitar and want to learn how to play it....I really need to get going on that. Thanks for the nudge.
Hello Connie Thank you for your sweet comments on my Toile Sachets! I love your cherry aprons and look forward to following you and looking back at your past posts. Take care my new friend.
Hi Connie, thankyou so much for your lovely comments on my blog Daisies-doilies and donkeys, I am pretty new to blogging, but have lots of time enjoying reading and seeing what other people are up to. Your paintings are beautiful. I think I have become one of your followers but to be honest I am not that computer literate so hope I have been put on your list. Love the cherry aprons and the picture of you playing the guitar. Love the boat you and your husband are doing up too. Have a happy week new friend

Hello Connie! What a lovely comment you left on my blog. Thank you so much. I'm glad that I can inspire you, but it seems as if you're already beautifully inspired.
These are so so cute! I use to love to wear aprons till I came to Australia...so hot here one more layer of clothing was more than I could take cooking in the heat of the summer....Till I discovered cooking on the BBQ :) I have started wearing aprons again. I will have to look out for some fabric like this or a store bought one....
Thanks for visiting my blog. Now following your blog
I love your aprons, they look so cute! Thanks for stopping by and I'm glad you did, because now I found your wonderful blog. Hugs from your new follower, Angela.
Love cherries, and I love your apron!! Are you looking to open an Etsy shop? It is so easy, they pretty much do all of the admin. for you....I would be happy to give a shout out on my blog if you should decide to open up shop! :) Happy creating, dear Connie! xoxo, - Irina
Dear Connie. You have so much inspiration in you... I dont have etsy.. but I have ordered from a blogger friend. My first suggestion to you is.. you draw so well... I would start with a calander for 2014.. A cook book with old american recipies.. there is so much one could do.. good luck.. happy sewing. val xx
Love the apron. I have an Etsy. First you need to get a paypal account. You can get all fancy with Etsy but I keep it pretty simple. I now have 32 sales and am happy with that. Now is a good time to get set up. Look at other people's Etsy pages and see what their policies are. I was an Etsy buyer first and making purchases helps with your ranking. Good Luck!
Hello Connie I too love your cherry fabric on these cute aprons. I thought of opening an Etsy shop for the pillows I have been making but did not do it. I actually have thought about working again on my other site Temptations and get it started once again where my blogging buddies put their items they have for sale on it. I think now would be the prefect time for me to try to sit down and do this. Kind of like a etsy shop but free to all users. Let me know what you think Love Maggie
So cute! I love cherry prints and they're kind of hard to find. I've never sold anything on Etsy but a friend of mine sells her jewelry there and is happy with the arrangement. -- Jan
Hello there, Connie! I love the apron. So bright and cheery. I like the cherry print.
Thank you for stopping by and leaving such a nice comment on my blog. It's so nice to meet fellow bloggers. You know, I took my follower button off my blog years ago. It was one of those things that was an irritant for me, so I just took it off. If you would like to follow me, maybe just add my blog to your side bar? I think you have a lovely blog and your other blogs are wonderful too. My son is learning the guitar and has been taking lessons for quite some time, so it will be nice to print off your posts for him to practice on. I think I'll add you on my side bar today and follow from there. Have a great day!
What a darling apron! Cherries just suit kitchen, don't they? I have some beautiful embroidered pillow slips of my dear granny's that I would like to use to make a ruffled apron with. One of these days.
Thank you for your sweet visits and comments, so nice to see you~~
